About the Team

The original Miami Curve began in 2002 as a nine under team.  This team remained together until 2005.  The team won many championships, including two World Series, winning the IBC World Series and the Triple Crown World Series.  Many of the players on this team were part of the team that finished third place in the Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament, losing 4 to 3 to Texas.  This team finished nine wins and one loss in Cooperstown and set many records.  The team was led by Bryan Blair, Jarred Mederos, GC Mirabal, Spencer Thomas, and several others who are just now starting their high school baseball careers.

As the original team was making a name for itself, we decided to start a younger version of the Miami Curve and then in 2003 we started an eight under team.  That team entered the Pinto League of Tamiami and won the championship the very first year; winning 28 games and losing three and sweeping everyone in the playoffs on its way to a championship.  The next year we moved up to Mustang at Tamiami and ended up playing for the championship.  We lost the championship series 2 games to one.  We are currently playing the MYBA and utilizing Grapeland Park as our home field.  This team started playing in tournaments when they turned nine under and have been participating in tournaments ever since.  We are currently an eleven under select team.  This team has had many players over the years and the current core players have now been together going on three years and included a handful of players that been with us for less that a year.  Over the past two years, despite several changing faces, this team won several championships and continues to be one of the "team to beat" in this age bracket.  We are looking forward to competing in the MYBA and also in the TC Fall National in St. Augustine in October 2007.  This team has great chemistry and there is always a family atmosphere wherever we go.  This is a very enjoyable team.
